The Weirdo Behind the Blog

Hi, there!! Thank you so much for clicking on that in-plain-view-but-still-pretty-obscure button on the side of your screen and wanting to know more about me!

Well, my name is Monica.

I'm a lover of natural remedies.

I'm also a lover of dirty jokes and sarcasm.

I'm the wife of Antonio.

The mother of 5 kids...and currently pregnant with #6!!!

a cat, Molly,

a dog, Gypsy,

and a peach-faced lovebird, Indiana Jones
Indiana managed to pick the lock on her cage and fly the coop one day. She sat on a nearby (but very high) tree branch staring at us while we cried and begged her to give us another chance.

Then flew away for good.

Adios, Indiana!

I'm a homeschooler, sometimes unschooler, hater of algebra and all diagrammed sentences.

I cloth diapered a couple of my kiddos...for sporadic periods of time. I had every intention to cloth diaper Isabel (#5) but that didn't really pan out.

But I also suck at keeping up with laundry...which can put one in a fickle position when they cloth diaper. So I didn't really feel too guilty. Ya feeling me?

I am a huge proponent of natural wellness and natural remedies which you will frequently see posts about on my blog.

I love cooking delicious meals...and due to that whole "natural wellness" bit up there, most of my recipes are vegetarian and leaning towards the healthy side. But I promise they taste good!

(Caveat: This usually flies out the window in the throes of pregnancy & caring-for-a-newborn exhaustion.)

But sometimes I really go overboard with cheese.

And I don't really stick to a vegetarian diet when eating out.

My husband is currently picking me up Arby's, guys.

And I do make a really killer meatloaf and pot roast, on occasion.

I'm trying to get back into working out and weight training.

Seriously. I'm up to being able to benchpress 10 pound weights...and NOT drop them on my face.

Skills, man. Skills.

Sometimes I feel compelled to record random....or specific...I'm flexible like that...moments of my day and post them on YouTube.

I am obsessed with garlic.

That stuff is delicious AND medicinal. Can't get much cooler than that.

I'm also always recommending this stuff:

and this stuff:

They're not tasty AT ALL but they're some really powerful medicine!

Oh! And I love to make my own juices.

Like, weird juices that make other people gag when they see them...but that's okay, because my juices are delicious and I will hopefully be able to live to be 150 years old, despite my love of Arbys and DQ's Salted Caramel Truffle blizzards and Peanut Butter Cups, all because of those juices.

And that pretty much sums it up for me.

You'll probably find out more randomness about me as you read my blogs and articles.

I'm a pretty likeable gal and I'm really happy to have you here!!

xoxo for the boring legal stuffs....

No, no, they are not really starving. (::gasp!:: Would you click on more links if you thought they were starving?? hmmm....hahahaha)
