Ginger Tea for Tummy Aches

Ginger chunks steeping in hot water

I don't know what it was exactly....my tummy felt a bit rumbly all afternoon....

But then Antonio wanted to go out for a Date Night

Maybe it was the

Bean Dip

Salsa

Fried tortilla chips

Chicken Enchilada

Cheese sauce

Avocado

Rice

oooooooooh, my tummy hurts just thinking of it......

Well, whatever it was, I about exploded the moment we got home.

My stomach felt like it was being torn to shreds and I kept making runs for the bathroom.

My natural remedying self kicked into action.

I put a pot of water on to boil.

Then I mixed half of a tablespoon of Bragg's apple cider vinegar into water and downed it.

(hold your breath when you're drinking this or the smell will get you....)

I chopped up a bit of fresh gingerroot and put it in a mason jar.

As soon as my teapot was whistling, I poured some water over the ginger.

I allowed it to steep for almost 15 minutes.

Then I sweetened it with a bit of sugar and drank it slowly.

Sure enough, my horrendous tummy ache began melting away.

Turns out, ginger has been used as an antidiarrheal and gas reliever for many, many years!

As has apple cider vinegar.

So keep that in mind, peeps! Always keep fresh ginger and Bragg's ACV on hand...you never know when you'll need it in an emergency.
